Overview 2015

Updates 2016 start on page 9, Updates 2017 start on page 11, Updates 2018 start on page 12, and Updates 2019-2020-2021-2022 on page 13

                                                                               Hello everybody ! :)

Having spent years to admire all the magnificent cities presented here, I decided to post some photos of mine in a kind of Mayor Diaries.
It will not be know a traditional MD, because I prefer to post a group of photos on the same theme, rather than to tell the story and the development of each of my "tiles".
In fact, I don't speak english very well and i have to use massively online translator to write or understand anything. ::)
I did my best but "my style" is pretty unusual because I love mixing various type of architecture and flora, even it's not realistic. I hope it won't be odd. :)
Feel free to ask me if you need some bat or prop information ;)
So I've spoken enough, now it's time for pictures ! I want to begin with something different  : my first update with only night views.
A lot of offices district and some old fashioned city center .
I hope that you will like it.  ;D

Welcome to the world of MDing!   :)

Very nice mix of w2w and highrise, it seem to work together very well. Looking forward to daytime pictures!

This a fine start to an MD.  The CBD is dazzling, and the smaller housing units help to balance things out.  That stage with the huge crowd in attendance provides just the right burst of atmosphere to the area, although I can see you have other entertainment venues, too.  Good work.

Indeed the mix of skyscrapers and wall-to-wall buildings is very interesting and well done.
I also like the work with the slopes.  :)

@ Vortext, metarvo, befastsocrates and art128
Thank you for your warm welcome. ::)
I like very much the realizations of each of you, Bat or Mayor Diaries and it is always an honor to receive compliments of people so talented. :)
I love night pic because it's easier to hidde littles mistakes  :P, but now I take the risk to turn on the light ! So, I hope not to disappoint with my next update.

This time it's all about city center, rather dense. Not or a very few skyscrapers, but nothing rural either yet ( it will comes in the next ones updates...... ). I hope you will like it.

Update 2 : Urban views

17 Here you can see a channeled river in a rather dense urban area, with mix of old building and more modern ( something pretty european I suppose ) statue in the middle of the river is from Debussyman (LEX), church is from Wallibuk (STEX) and the long curve building is from Mattb325 (LEX)

19 The same district seen since another angle. Here is visible the half underground train station, the rail road line passing under the river.

20 Some classic dense wall to wall developments close to the regional covered stadium.

22 same seen since another angle

23 Here some modern development close to the monorail station, and behind older district.
Big glass tower is from Jasoncw, the 2 white towers are from IDS and the long mi-hight white uilding close is from TheQuiltedLlama SMP, all on STEX

24 same at night another angle

25 A large view of the same old district with some pedestrian alleys and plazas. Modern building appears here and there close to more historic ones.
the arch is from Jasoncw and the W2W buldings are from Motokloss (both on STEX)

26 On a another tile, nobody in the backyard of the college at this time but few people around the brick town hall.
brick town hall is from kelis (LEX) and brick college is from SimHottoDDy (STEX)

27 Another tile again, a busy historical plaza at the start of the autumn
Kwakelaar made the gated building with orange roof on top (LEX) and Wallibuk the gated building with clock on the bottom (STEX)

28 Start of autumn again, last sunny days on the terraces of this sloppy park, nice view from the residential building too.
diagonals buiding from Motokloss (STEX or Sim City Polska)

29 And, the last one, something different with this center town divide between modern residence and luxurious residence in the west close to wild seashore, and a old part in the east side, both joined by this park in front of the town hall.

Wow, this looks very good for a start, imo. Very nice MMP work, especially with the parks on this and the last update. And I think that it's a really good idea to mix modern buildings with older ones, loooks more realistic imo.

On the first picture I loved how you used the statue in the middle of the pond. The sloppy park is really well done too.

I love the mix of buildings in your city!! I don't know why, but its atmosphere makes me think about cities on the Dalmatian coast, perhaps because of the palms between the Central-European architecture. I just felt the same when I saw the last image in the picture competition. Keep the good work!!  &apls

No love for the countryside yet?!  ???

Strange as it's really well crafted! I like all the MMPing, the apple orchard especially. The little village is nice too (though imho the palms in 31/34 gotta go), it has the right amount of messiness to it and the detailing is great!  &apls

It's a shame that I haven't responded to this update yet.  Those farm fields are nice.  The way that they follow the non-grid conforming streets is certainly a dose of variety.  I like that power line crossing the farmland a lot; it looks much like a setup I've seen in my area.

The lumber yard with the wood being loaded onto the trailer is marvelously molded into the rural scene.  It adds a measure of life to the picture, with the sense that something is being accomplished in the day-by-day rural grind.

Great!

There's a lot of a work in those image and it's great to see. A few of the buildings I haven't seen before, a really nice selection and variety.

Great work, my friend. We haven't seen such dedicated seaside resort for long! It recalls me of the days in Gold Coast, Australia last year. :bnn:

I have a little request though, could you tell me where can I download the retaining walls by Bipin in the picture?

Thanks you very much for the nice comments !  :)

@ weixc812 : it's so nice to have comment from a legend. To answer your question : the retaining wall by bipin was joined as a "test file" to his tread here on SC4D page 6 and on simpeg.
But, sadly the links seems to be deads in both cases  :(

As is customary when I come across these things, thank you for using my BATs in your work! I love what you've done with creatively integrating them into your own waterfront. It is for such reasons that I make BATs; when people use something I've built in their own creative manner.  I'm also glad this led me to discover your wonderful CJ. The work here is simply great! &apls

After two updates with a lot of MMP stuff, I'm come now with a little update, mostly urban and very different from the previous ones.
In fact, I love build city on slope, because each time it's a new challenge.
So I begin with these few photos, the first of my 3 " Slopy Friendly updates "

Update 7 : Slopy Friendly, part one

121.
First city is built on an very steep slope. It extends over hills and lines a profund volcanic lake where a wild torrent ends its route. Here a picture at start of autumn

122.
This torrent goes along ramparts and bounds the border between the old citadel ( on the left ) and the more modern part ( on the right ).

123.
Nowadays, there are unfortunately not many medieval buildings in the citadel which had the peculiarity to be rather vast. A few decades ago, numerous buildings more comfortable replaced the old medieval ones become unfit for "the modern life". But now, people wishes kept intact its vestiges of a distant past to attract tourists. So, developments were made, such this old fashioned funicular, which allows to join the bottom of the citadel to the entrance of the castle, 70 meters higher.
Fortunately, the funicular is completely glazed, what turns out very useful in the beginning of very rainy autumn.........

124.
Closer on the funicular terminus, ( the funicular runs behind the castle )

125.
To emphasize the castle and its ramparts, a spectacular lighting was installed a few years ago. The castle is visible on this natural headland for miles around

126.

127.

128.

129.
Last picture from this city, with the center town outside the wall, again on a rainy day

130.
Second city presented today, is a very big one with a mix of modern and old building, especially in the center , around a impressive cathedral

131.
A lot of park and belvedere allow very beautiful view on this monument and all the city

132.
To Finish, in a less part of the same city, a nice walk since a chapel towards a lake via a small cemetery, not very distant of some busy places and avenues

I hope you have liked it !  :) Thanks you

Update 8 : Slopy Friendly, part two

I have today a big set of slopy friendly pictures, all in the same city tile.
This city is special because it is completely built on hills and valleys between forest and sea. Only 25 % of the city is built on one flat ground, but its urbanization is very important and we count 140 000 inhabitants there.
The advices on its architecture are very diverging. Some considers it anarchy and of other one find certain charm in its exuberance.
To start, let us discover it by distant views.

133.
The history of this city and all this part of my region is important here.
4 centuries ago, a monastery was built at the top of the highest hill of the tile whiwh was going to become this city.
For a reason specifically: a source of drinking water been born at the bottom of a old and profound volcanic crater, so creating a natural reservoir.
As in this period, the region was begining to develop by the sea on grounds more easily convertible, the drinking water requirement became fast important. It was in particular the case for the most important city of my region and the first port, that is situated on the first tile on the West of this city, approximately 200 meters below at 2 kilometers. A gigantic construction site began with the creation of a canal network allowing to forward the water since this lake, towards plains in full urban and agricultural development.

134.

135.
.......But, there was an important obstacle: between the hill where is situated the lake and the plains, there was an important swampy zone, and worse, a other hill to be crossed. So, it was decided that the channel would cross the swampy zone via an impressive viaduct before joining the second hill. Today, the swampy zone still exists, but it' is smaller and it's a kind of park. It's also a natural demarcation between the various districts of the city. The first village was built near the monastery on the slopes, the second was built on the other hill and centuries later the modern district was also built on the north.

137.
The city center extends in the South of the swamp and includes buildings of classic style, builds last 2 centuries. However, 2 years ago, a new tower including luxury 5 stars hotel and extremely expensive apartments, was inaugurated. It's named meriton tower .Opposite was built one contemporary concert hall in the continuation of the hill, as "semi buried". These 2 constructions, supposed embody the new face of the city were welcomed in a reserved way: the most conservative people blame their for bein too differente from constructions surroundings and to break the historical perspective since the city center on the viaduct.......

After 100 meters buried on the second hill, the channel goes out again to plunge lower 40 meters, before disappearing totally in underground passage. This last underground passage was built in the 60s during the construction of the quite close industrial park.

The city center stretches since a hill covered with lawn which welcomes the university campus up to the sea ( below, invisible on this picture ). The cathedral is visible of any side thanks to its hillside positioning, whereas bourgeois constructions are gathered around the big decorative canal.

As someone that like to build on slopes, you did a great job here. Keep it up.

Brilliant, just brilliant. Incredible cities, incredible farms, incredible MMPs, incredible guts to build on a hillside and make it look good. I have got to admit that picture 114 is the most amazing SC4 park I have ever seen. What a model!

Amazing updates indeed, the level of detail is just outstanding! I particularly enjoyed the park special, so much creative lotting packed into one update! Also like the use of the aquaduct, don't see it used that often.  &apls

Great update. Your tower in front of the aqueduct reminds me of the time Montparnasse Tower was built. A monolith in the middle of historical buildings.

That's again a great update. Cathedrals, old town buildings and modern buildings arranged in a beautiful way. Great building on and around the hills. And the aqueduct is brilliant, never saw anything like this.

Thank you very much of all these nice comments  ;D . I am very happy that this update, a little bit particular, is pleased you. :)

Today, I'm come back with the last of my Slopy friendly updates, maybe more conventional. Here, pictures will be extracted from various cities tiles

Update 9 : Slopy Friendly, last part

165.
I begin with a distant suburban town, which has the peculiarity to be completely built on a hill and to be very green.

And usually I don´t like so much different styles of BATs in one place together, - but here the first time I like it, cause it becomes some special, very individual style if handled with such a care. Great!

Amazing work again. Like already mentioned, there's little to no building repetition, good slope work and especially good arrangement of BAT's, especially in the large city on pics 184-189. I also like the castle on pic 184, how it is looking over the lake, and the design of the old village in pic 175.

Update 10 : Big villages and small towns

199.
First, a small town at the edge of a lake. Closer views from others angles were presented on Update 3, but here the centring allows to see the area of the town

204.

205.
A small town with a old and relatively protected city center (at the top and in the center of the picture) and an industrial park benefiting from the presence of the railroad (at the bottom of the picture )
The mid 19th-century brick-built mill is one of the last industrials vestiges in my region. Nowadays, it's a historic monument and it's impossible to destroy it. So, when it needed to build a new gymnasium in the town, a nearby and unused for decades ground was naturally chosen. But, rather than to build a contemporary and impersonal building, the architect decided to integrate it into his environment, by building it with brick and in proportions similar to the old mill.

208.
The other historic monument of this city is the old 16th- century belfry. A small park was built in the continuation of the belfry square and it acts as a separation between the old and the part of the town

212.
Now, some pictures of one of my few rural villages. In fact, with 17000 inhabitants, it is more a town than a village. It's still surrounded by fields but some industrial park replace groves more and more.
Some distant view here ( the closer view are in the update 3 ) while playing with the Xannepan weather mod.

Apologies for repetition but I really must echo the comments from others regarding the hill work, it's absolutely fantastic. I haven't the patience for such work but it great to see someone master it so beautifully.

Another superb update, such attention to detail and incredibly building variety.

@ belfastsocrates, carlfatal, noahclem, art128, Vizoria :

Thanks you very much for all these very nice comments ! I really appreciate that  ;D

I start now the first of my 2 updates about suburbs.
In my region, there a few CBD but there is no real center, but several poles with varying degrees of economic and administrative importance.
However, I have many small secondary cities, mostly residential, which form a cluster of suburbs and outskirts sometimes dense and sometimes spread and green.
This first update focuses on distant suburbs which include many recent houses and small buildings, often built around the heart of old villages, now included in the urban area of Gransimtenago.

Update 11 : Suburbia, part one

228.
Here, a typical residential area of my suburban set back from the main road where the buildings dedicated to shops and some offices are concentrated.
The city council has provided a gymnasium and a park for the enjoyment of residents.

231.

As the police are rare in these distant suburbs, police barracks beeing built at strategic locations. Here is an example with a heliport in the same city tile close to a lake.

Indeed indredible!  &apls

Like I told before, I never would use such a mix of BATs, but on your pictures it looks so natural and common together - that is absolutely stunning!

And am I right, if I think, that you use the model tweaker from time to time? The RTMT bus stops look like if you made them smaller. The original seems to be made for yetis, I changed the size to 0.85, and here it looks similar (pic 238).  $%Grinno$%

Keep it up, can´t wait for the second part of your suburbs!

Outstanding work once more. Steep slopes or gentle slopes, your cities always amaze me how they fit so well on those.

The city hall by the water is excellent. Nice use of public housing estates too.

@ carlfatal :

I guess what creates unity on my pictures, are the props including trees and cars ( often from VIP, Girafe and C.P. ); and I also used the "model tweaker" from time to time to have buildings that seem to be on the same scale. But in the case of bus stops (including picture 238) i don't use often RTMT models but the great Girafe road bus stops available on the LEX ( reloted by myself for conventional streets and SAM mod streets )

@ Yan077 :

I am very happy to have a comment from one of the legends of this website  :). I admire Corsica from the first day, and I must say that your last update is undoubtedly the most beautiful thing i've seen in this game. I think i watched it 3 or 4 times, just for pleasure. :D

@ art128 :

Thanks you so much for the nice comments  :) . I love this building too, a beautiful modern one of Supremec TSC.

@ Vizoria, Themistokles :

Thanks you very much !  :)  The second part will happen in a few days.

It's now time to show my second part of my Surburbs update. This time with denser suburbs and fewer houses

Update 12 : Suburbia, second part

260.

I start with a small town that has been a real estate revival these past years, to the point that old buildings in poor condition are replaced fairly quickly by more modern constructions.

261.

262.

Focus on the destruction of this ancient small office. According to the town hall the whole corner block will be demolished in the next 3-4 years and new buildings, like those on the other side of the street, should be built.

263.

The garden center and a large part of the wooded area behind were to be destroyed to make way for a housing development, but following protests by residents, the town hall to finally give up.

268.

269.

Strangely, these public housing buildings were built fairly close to older buildings without great protest of the inhabitants of the old district.

And to celebrate this, a small update rather special, before presenting some thing more classic in a few days.

Update 13 : Natural Disaster

So today, I'll tell you the story of one of the worst storms happened in Gransimtenango ( In fact i can't stop playing with Weather Mod of Xannepan.... ;D)

285.

It all started with a scorching afternoon September 27, 2013. The abnormally high temperature enchanted bathers in the coastal districts and the few walkers in the parks of the city center.

288.

289.

But at 4pm, the clouds hitherto innocuous, gave the first showers.

290.

Firstly localized, they began to spread from the coast to the CBD.

291.

292.

Then the situation degraded suddenly at 6pm, with the massive arrival of severe thunderstorm from the sea which reached very quickly inland.

Some great screenshots ;D I always like to see a city being hit by disaster. Fortunately, the thunderstorm went easy on your city. I recently wanted to ask you to share a few screenshots of your city/cities from a higher altitude, but you were faster. And it looks great, a lot like I'd like to design a metropolis of mine, especially with a good combination and arrangement of modern and old buildings and a good amount of parks.

BTW, thanks for the link :).

@ 11241036, romualdillo, belfastsocrates :

Thank you to all for the kind comments  ;D

As promised, I come back with some more conventional pictures.
This time, some close-ups of different administrative and cultural centers of Gransimtenango.
These lively district, primarily commercial, contain major cultural buildings (opera, theater, library, etc) and community building like market.
They are quite dense but the buildings remain of medium size.

Congratulations for becoming a bestseller, I think that you really deserve it!

Again good work, as always. Especially since this part of your region looks actually entirely new, despite retaining your personal style. Very good relotting work, your plazas really look relaxing and beautiful, I could spend hours of looking at them.

And again, I need to ask you for a link: On pic 305, just above the avenue roundabout at the very bottom of your picture, there's a modern building with a "fractionally angled" facade, having the abbreviations of chemical elements displayed on it. Do you know where you've got this building from?

Great update, lots of open spaces, which is a good thing. The first picture is really wonderful, and I like a lot the area around the sunken rail station. Good job making a wonderful building stand out gracefully.
I also spotted a few BATs of mine... It's always nice to see your creations in use. :)

And I have a question too. The same area, where you´ve used buddybud´s stairs - since a long time I ask myself, where this kind of retaining walls comes from. Can´t find them in the LE...

This update is the last for this year, because I have no more decent pictures to show so I will work for at least several months ( maybe more ) before being able to redo news pictures.
As this is my last update before long, the pictures show here everything that I prefer: ie sloping areas, night pictures, rainy photos and some mosaics.
However, they all have in common to present places of worship in cities of all density, and cemeteries.
Worship Bat used are among the most common and most popular, but I will try to quote the author for each of them, and where to find them.

Wow, again some great pictures. Good work putting these various religious buildings in scene. Your relot of the SFBT Hallenbad is good, might copy that concept ;D. Also, good work with romualdillo's first release, I'd really like to see more of it.

Just a minor question: Why do you use an overpass piece at the slope in pic 335? Wouldn't it be easier and make more sense to use an earthen slope instead? You would surely have enough space.

First thank you for the hint with the CSX Prop Pack!  :)

And yes, fantastic pictures again! And to place Munich´s Frauenkirche right next to a typical mediterranean graveyard is very courageous. But in your case it works!  &apls &apls

All time I am impressed by your variety, it is a kind of multicultural Utopia, and I definately love it. Every picture invites to sink in and look for the masses of details, all the little scenes, you´ve created. It looks like the place where I really would like to live.
And I had to grin, when I did read the last sentence: "that´s all for today". I never would be able to finish half of the scenes in one complete year!  :D

Keep it up, I love it!  :)

First of all: As always, you've done a great work mixing so many different buildings. Only few people can do this with such result. Fantastic!!  &apls

Secondly: It's the first time I see my buildings out of my computer... Thank you very much!! And they look much better with those trees on the empty lots. You have much more imagination than me!!!  :D  The only thing is: I see some visual glitches I've never experimented on my computer. Which program did you use to change the lots, the LotEditor or the SC4 PIM-X?

Great work portraying the different religions present in your region.
I need to ask though, how you managed to have the synagogues working? I downloaded them and only got a bunch of non SC4 files.

Bit sad though we'll have to go the remainder of the year without your fantastic cities, maybe throw a couple of teasers our way every now and then?  :)

At any rate, I'm already looking forward to the new season, so to speak.  :D

@ 11241036 :

Thanks for your advise. Actually the height difference between the pool area and the residential area is higher it can be assumed with this perspective and I use a slopy mod delivered for slopes of 20% maximum. But my choice isn't really aesthetic, I must admit.
And Yes, I really love the SFBT swimming pool, so it was impossible for me to resist to relot it !  :)

@ carlfatal :

I know i have a taste for risk with mix of buildings and I'm glad you like it.  ;D
And, reassure yourself, I put over 2 years to finalize the cities I present these last two months ........ I'm not as fast as it looks !  :D

@ romualdillo :

I did not touch your lots in LE or PIM-X ( they are already perfect  ;) ) In fact, I only put some MMP after they grown naturally in the city.
I think, the visual glitches are from my computer only, because i have CTD half the time when i take picture on zoom 5 in all my city tiles, so don't worry.
In fact, i fixed a lot of visual glitches on previous pictures but it was too complicated in this mosaic.

@ Themistokles :

Thanks you very much for the kinds words.  ()stsfd() I am very happy that you've liked and i have to thanks all the great bater, moder, loter, here or somewhere else, that improve continually this wonderful game !  :)

@ art128 :

I have open them with the PIM and turned into worship bat and then make my own lot with LE.

@ vortext :

Thanks you very much !  ;D

Lovely city scenes:

LOTing is well done. Nice choice of flora and cars

Did you use Vortext textures?

There is something definitively wrong with Reddonquixote s church. It looks like it s flying in the landscape. I think it s due to wrong parameters he is using in 3dsmax. What a pity because the modeling is amazing

I've turn into an overhangprop the Reddonquixote church without any shadow, so maybe this ( and my photoshop work with ambient light ) create that feeling...... &Thk/(
And, yes I used Vortext texture on the first pic.

In fact, it is the lack of a projected shadow in a shadowed scape. If you look at the left half of the image, it looks very 'correct' and definitely not floating. Maybe some photoshopping would help

Nice work with the churches and their squares! The domed one on the embankment by the river, with the columns, all the bridges and mmp looks particularly awesome to me. And maybe I just didn't notice it in September -- or perhaps it wasn't there yet -- but I really like the innovative use of that railway station in the lower middle of pic 342. Whenever I'm building a hilly region I'll sure be snatching that idea.

Beautiful little scenes. I'm so pleased someone has finally used the St Paul's BAT, although it looks weird without the shadows. Must be something to do with the re-lotting (which otherwise looks amazing by the way)... I'm pretty sure the BAT I released had shadows, but if there's something I need to fix do let me know  :)

I apologize for my controversial picture about St Paul Cathedral. So i've getting a picture with this time the appropriate shadows and a slightly different placement in the park (a few meters), I guess it is better now.  :)

I see you looked carefully my picture to see the underground station!
Indeed, this is new (simple lotting based on station PKP Warszawa Powisle of Motokloss and glass roofs of GLR station of shmails) +glenni tunnel and it took me a while to do this scene .
In fact, this station was built there are only ten years beyond the initial tunnel, and destroying old dilapidated buildings. The whole complex is accompanied by green balcony.
So here are some photos of the same station at zoom 5.

I have only looked at page 7 and my mind is blown! I love all your images!

This city has evidently been built with a lot of thought as to how it should flow. You have done this exceedingly well indeed! The image with the old town and the CBD most defiantly does show a contrast in views and architecture. I think you have done this really well as this type of building is incredibly risky! It has paid off.

The setting of your churches is a favourite of mine, they look stunning in your city!

And to finish, some picture about a industrial area i've made recently.

This is not a conventional industrial area because everything is done to respect the original design of the wooded frame.
Most of the groves have been preserved, and natural runoff ditches and retention ponds were created around a main axis including roads and a bike path that serves all industrial area businesses. Some parking lots for visitors too. Companies have large land with sometimes dedicated to relaxation and sport areas and the whole complex is very green.
The first mosaic shows the nort of the area from the main village.

That beach scene is simply the best transition I have ever, ever seen. Hands down. No contest. Nothing else even comes close!

Not to mention you industrial zone, which is just as fantastically done. Your custom lots look great and I love your prop choices. Overall, everything is soo perfect, I almost don't want to can't suggest you do anything... but IMHO, I would get rid of the ashy avenue mod and get an avenue T21 mod to get rid of the maxis center foliage.

I think this is the best update I have ever seen from a CJ, and I will certainly follow every update here closely and continue to be inspired. At risk of becoming cliche: I. am. amazed.

Here you can see 2 mosaics ( very big by clicking on it zoom 5 ) from a old city with a big cathedral.
The Cathedral was shown severals times before, but not the west neighborhood that i present today. It's includes some old tenements, industrials building (glenni Schau's Brewery and cp's outstanding industrials building) and new industries (mattb, tag one and spa's building) along a small river.
I hope you'll enjoy it.

Update 20

@ kelis, korver, art128, Akallan, Themistokles, Vizoria, Simmer2, feyss :

Thank you very much for all your nice comments! ;D

Being addicted to the Cp' s industrial buildings (LEX), I come back with another small update mainly devoted to railways stuff and an old river harbor built along a bend in the main river crossing Gransimtenango. A former district is built nearby, with park, square and cathedral but also some newer buildings near a large rail yard.

388.
First an overview. On the left train depot (partially visible) from Simmer2 (LEX), in the middle rigt of cemetery and above industrial building you can see the old Agart University from Agart (STEX).
~ Click on pic = in game zoom 5 ~

389.
Details on the industrial harbour area at the end of a cloud spring day. Cp industrials buildings (LEX), pegasus balconies, and wmp rural dock (STEX)
~ Click on pic = in game zoom 5 ~

390.
Details about the central mall leading to the Cathedral (from Debussyman, STEX)on a rainy autumn day. horseman statue is from one of the MJB (couchpotato) HD prop pack on LEX, water tower is from voltaics (upload by Andreas on LEX), triangular building near the cathedral is from Manchou on Tout Sim Cities.com, and the square building with orange roof is from Haarlemmergold (take everything from this genius here https://community.simtropolis.com/profile/38724-haarlemmergold/content/?type=downloads_file&sortby=file_views&sortdirection=desc&page=1)
~ Click on pic = in game zoom 5 ~

391.
And finally a train depot an a terminus station close to a modern industrial area, on another tile. At the bottom close to Maxis university there is MGB depot, the station is from ILL Tonkso (NDEX team) http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/18184-ndex-its-langstrath-central-station/ and the rotunda is from Oppie (STEX)

The rainy picture of the cathedral is really great. Feels so real. Other pictures are great too... I just don't agree with the choice of the maxis university, but that's just my personal opinion. On the overview the train depot on the slope is nice.

Thanks for all theses nice comments !  ;D
@ Simmer2
Even though the Oppie's 10-year-old turntable is still very beautiful, a new would be welcome, especially coming from you.  ;)  And thank you for your wonderful textures and lots, without them ( and NAM 34 ) this update would have been impossible.
@ Seaman
Thanks !  :) The station is a creation of ILL Tonkso, and here is the link.

@ art128
Thanks you !  :) In fact, the atmosphere of the rainy picture is probably due to the dark color and the rain, which is not really photoshoped but mainly the result of Jupiter mod by Xannepan.
The University of Maxis is just a choice by default because universities ( especially big complex ) are lacking for download.

Update 21

                                                                                 Hello everyone !  :)

Here is a new update with photos taken on 3 different tiles that have in common to present districts built on slopes.
Only the churches were shown in close-up zoom in previous updates last year, while this time, a large part of the neighborhoods is shown in zoom 5 with some improvements (for the maximum zoom, click on the picture ).
As always, rain effect are not photoshoped but the result of the wonderful Jupiter mod of Xannepan.

392.
First of all, this imposing cathedral (from Debussyman) and its park, built in a fairly large neighborhood on the edge of a cliff. The astronomical observatory (swi21 on LEX) has a totally unobstructed view of the sea although this is not verifiable in this picture. "H shaped building" view from bottom with mural paint is from ferox (SimCityPolska), big "H shaped parisian building" view from front street facade is from Debussyman

The railyard and surroundings in your Oct 30 update is absolutely awesome in the way youve integrated every loose end of rail into the cityscape and let them blend into each other &apls

Last update is also very very good, especially viewed in zoom 5. Mmp work along the river in particular is spectacular.

Update 22

Hello
@ Themistokles, compdude787, reddonquixote, kbieniu7, Akallan, Seaman, brick_mortimer, Bipin, Nanami
Thank you for all your great comment, it makes me very happy !  ;D

To start this year 2017, here is a brand new tile never shown before. No surprise, it is anything but flat and was very complicated to realize although it is only a small tile.
It is a small town built on hills between 2 rivers whose confluence is located in full geographical center. One of the rivers includes a lake about ten meters deep in the heights, while the other loses a large part of its flow in swamps. On the the edge of second one can be found the remains of an old factory today abandoned and a pleasant forest.
Although small, this city remains densely populated because ultimately not far away from the central districts of Gransimtenango.

First an overview from west but if you click on it, it'll become an huge ingame zoom 5 view

In fact, I've literally done thousands of lots since I play this game, but it's impossible for me to share them. Because I use essentially invisible buildings (created with the PIM-X) for which I choose the statistics wanted before choosing the houses or other buildings to put on the lots by having them previously changed to PROP. This means that I have hundreds of different SC4Desc files for the PROPs and Bats that are running in my Plugins folder. Moreover, for simple house on a lot 1X2 I use counting the textures about 15 to 20 dependencies often from different pack, which is redditory for 95% of the players who would like to download, and i have a lot of more big lot....
And to add more, practically all my lots include overlays textures that « extend » the pattern of the specific sidewalk I downloaded years ago, on a few meters on my lots. Now, for these textures, I never asked for IDs and I therefore use the IDs of old downloaded textures, which obviously makes them no shareable. Maybe the only thing i can share is some MMPs but i don't knwow how to put a file in a post. Sorry  &mmm

How it is courageous to urbanize such hilly environment !  ::) Certainly the most difficult thing to achieve with SC4 , at least to my eyes as I did always  avoid it like the plague !  :D Seaman said it prefectely : respect to keeping that nice looking !  &apls That said , Update 20 was my favorite , and some previous ones too ( not numbered ) , your MMP skill is everywhere visible ( the beach was something too !  :o ) , but your other skills like LotEditing is sometimes less highlighted most of all when we're not familiar with the original custom content used ...  ;) ( that's why I take the time many often to explain what I'm doing .)

I know perfectly the problem ... and indeed you can forget it . When I joined Devo in 2007 , I tried to share some of my LOTs , but Barbara ( BarbyW ) quickly brought me back to reality !  :D Feasible , yes , but with so much constraints and additional work ... you would lose  both your  energy and faith !  $%Grinno$%

I also understand the issue of having a lots of... lots. My plugin folder is full of such type of addons, mades for some personal purposes that are practically unshearable.

Regarding the update - beautiful as always :) The terrain is demanding, as Badsim mentioned, often avoided to build anything there :D The swamps look great. I've never created a one, I need to take a deeper look into yours  &Thk/( The dry river also looks good, however in a so steep terrain it is doesn't fit too much. Surface runoff would not diminish in such amount.

The final shot - my favourite one. That church with a cemetery on a hillside in the rain and among autumn-coloured trees - spectacular  &apls

Update 23-1

Hello everybodies !

After a long hiatus, i come back with a few pics to present you a totally new tile never seen before.

But first, i have to answer about the last post and above all about the mysteries of my lotting....because there aren't mysteries in fact. :D
So i present to you 2 small R$$ Lots, seen in the last update and explain a little bit how they was made.

Before start to put PROPS in the Lot Editor, i have created a PROP from the main building, basically the house here, and after i have created a blank building with the properties that i used for this kind of RCI.

The first question i ask to myself when i make a Lot is "Is it for slopy area or not ?", because that will determine the ways i should use the PROP on the lot and obviously the parameters of growing.
In this case, the first house ( La Salle from Mattb325 ) is pretty big for a 2x2 residential Lot and does't have foundation, so the threshold have to appear quickly, at something like 6.00 or less and i always put the maximum elevation at 90.00 to have retaining wall in any circonstance and create a "balcony effect" for this kind of lot.

The second house ( c.p. ) appears red in the Lot Editor because it's packed in a familly, but in game ( as you can see in the pic ) it's appear white with green roof, close to the river. This lot is typically made to be on slope ( c.p. 's houses have always foundations, that is great ), use less PROP, have no threshold before 35.00 or more and have a maximum elevation often equal to the threshold number or a little bit more, to be slopy friendly most of time. Here, it's not the case, as I thought this lot might also be aesthetic with foundations if the slope of the bank was too steep.

So, now you can see in the 2 pictures some numbers that identifies the chronology of my work and the PROP references.
Of course i start with the main house and the texture and overlays marks by green numbers. After follow the PROP mark in orange.
The textures can change wildely from a lot to another but the prop are often the same to create some continuty in the style ( even with very different architectures ).

So we have :

1 the texture to choose. here a Vortext one, sometime i use one of mine but mainly BSC, Paeng or Vortext.
2 the overlay that demarcate the pathways from the green stuff. Here Aquazona883 overlays (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/28675-aqua_textures_01/ ). I use them masivelly because the are very versatile, sometime Vortex, Peg or mine to extend the sidewalk ( as the SCILT mod of c.p. do ).

1 the first prop i put are always vegetations, because it's give the "identity" of the lot. I use each time a mix of Girafe/VIP and c.p. and sometime some Flunight stuff when i want some tropical flavour....The hedge in HD are from Girafe and are includ is the Libeskind villa download on LEX. The are 4 wide size for theses hedges, so they fit on both "rigid" and slope lot.
2 the fence are second most important thing because by playing with, you can can make a lot of variation on lot, depend if you put gate on left or on right, or no gate, etc, you determine the ways are parked the cars, and the placement of the house.
Here, i use little namspopof fence, white and very short so perfect for a slopy friendly lot, and bipin wood in the backyard ( short version for the "slopy friendly" lot and long version for "rigid" lot ). Namspopof made a lot of gate and fence in differrent colors and style, as SHK (if you like brick) and Fordaniak on Sim City Polska.
3 the car : always Girafe/VIP stuff because it's perfect and HD
The others PROP don't vary too much, otfen grill from WMP Prop pack or table from Namspopof and always some bin from PK or Girafe with some place allowed to put it like a shed ( WMP often ) or ( like here ) a JMyers carport ( JFM Prop ). Depend of the weath of the lot, i can add cloth line or deck chair (Vnaoned/VIP PROP) or some pool ( simgoober jacuzzi  often or LBT pool )
Sometimes, as you can see with the second house, i put some overhang asphalt prop with the same color of the overlay asphalt texture ( fit with Maxis asphalt texture ). It's from BLAM Team and it's very usefull.

406.        Click on pic to reduce it

407.

After the "loting", all is a question of patience to see growing the right lot one the right place.
Some tip more : Sometimes when a lot grow, it changes the degree of the slope. But the slope can be preserve by put some game water piping under the tiles.

******

The new tile to is something particular, with 2 very differents parts separated by the main river of my region. On the right bank, there are 2 big hill with a dense town built on the top of that because of the mangrove on the bank and the presence of field nowadays replaced by HT industry on the remaining flat areas. On the left bank, there is a dense neighborhood of one of the main center of Gransimtenago, still unfinished. This neighborhood have is proper council center, parks school and is totaly indepedent of the the city sit on the other bank.
In this update you'll see distant view and you'll see closer view in a second update.

408.
First an overview    Click on pic to have closer view

Some view a little bit more close on the main hill with the chruch.
The slope is too steep for buses, so the city has inaugurated a cable car system that allows residents to reach the hill very quickly from the railway station or the tramway station. All this, as well as the industrial zone and the left bank district, will be visible in detail in an upcoming update. ;)

Great pictures. It's not easy to build a city in such a hill and you made it in a realistic way with the church or the water tower on top

Very nice, this town in the top of the hill looks pretty nice !! I know how difficult is get a good result when you are building with this kind of slopes... and I must say that you got a very realistic result there, congratulations !!

Geez, with those stairs they don't need to send people to Saint Helen, just tell them to climb up and down that hill!

Nice update. Great use of retaining walls as always. Though i would have loved if the railway had smoother curves. But I suppose considering the geography that's not really an option.

Those are serious stairs :o and really love the cable car.

The overhanging ground textures seem really handy. This far I have only improvised with other different props that happen to be there, but never had any special ones for this purpose. Do you have a link to them?  ;D

Thats a lot of stairs! must be hard to climb before the cable car system installed. (https://s.kaskus.id/images/smilies/takuts.gif)
Really nice area in overall! I like that "climate hazard" variation of picture. (https://s.kaskus.id/images/smilies/add-friend-kecil.gif)

also great job on doing lots! must be a leg work but it do worth a lot!

@ Themistokles
The BLAM overhang prop can be found here

@ Mattb325
I can see  28 dependencies for the La Salle House lot in the reader, 24 dependencies for the c.p. House lot......so it's seem to be too much to bee release without lost some stuff and make crazy anybody who want to download.....

@ art128
I think the same about the railway, but i have started this tile even before download Nam 35, so i'll try to use more smooth curves in next updates.

@Nanami
I like it too, another one of Xannepan Jupiter Mod surprise. In fact, more the cities are hilly, more this mod is funny. I have experimented some strong storm on this one.  :D

@ korver, Akallan, kelis, Dantes, feyss, and Silur
Thank you very much for these very many and pleasant comments, I sincerely appreciate  ;D

All the following pics are now zoom 5 ( by clicking on it ) and you can therefore see how I tortures Sims with those endless stairs.
I'll try to put more references in the next update and above all in the previous but before i have to deal with the photobucket joke that ruin the 7 first page of the MD  :angrymore:

**** So now, Details pics ****
( if you click on pic, you'll see at zoom 5, so it's huge )

First view of the industrial area, from research center ( Mattb on STEX ) to the river mangrove ( the sea is only 800 meters frome here so the water is brackish ), passing by the tramways station ( art128 railways station « transformed » by PIM-X in a functionnal tramways station ) close to a cable car station ( from girafe on LEX ).
The diagonal and triangular building close to the pool are from Motokloss (STEX or SimCityPolska).
The water color effect are from Xannepan Poseidon mod for the ingame water (put on Gobias HD water mod), but prop water is from RFR (STEX) or custom texture of mine (close to the research center especially).

Others view of the industrial area. Many Mattb325 building here and some from spa, simgoober, tag_one and jasoncw. PROP are mainly from WMP and SCF for the truck. Building in the commercial area are from Mattb325 too, and the truck parked at the enter of the area is making by using KOSC overlays on MushyMushy asphalt textures with some MushyMushy truck too.
View between hill and highways.

The left bank, totally flat and very different from the town on the hills. Here, there is some planification of the district with the idea of urban garden belted by W2W residenial, and some old building remanant near the main avenue axe from the fountain roundabout to the council center ( Mattb325 ) front of the river (wooden terrace is made with prop from Vortext from Historic Harbour). This pic is taken under a spring light rain ( thank Poseidon weather Mod of Xannepan )

And some close view on the 2 hills.
First the most elevated with the water tower. (Vnaoned/VIP on LEX)

Now the main hill with the church ( Vnaoned/VIP) and the town offine ( c.p. post office FAR version )
Bridges on the river are made by using the "Teirusu Rain tool" ( http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/21531-teirusu-rain-tool-additional-god-mode-terrain-tools-2/ )that allowed to build without maxis water under. I have this tool in the last update also close to the church. Stairs are from Reddonquixote and SimCoug (on STEX). Little brigdge without traffic over the little dry canyon is from Glenni (STEX https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/23071-eyecandy-bridges-set/).

Hi!
Amazing pictures again! I like how you modify some of the contents! :)

"I can see  28 dependencies for the La Salle House lot in the reader, 24 dependencies for the c.p. House lot......so it's seem to be too much to bee release without lost some stuff and make crazy anybody who want to download....."

Well, so what? 28 dependencies is nothing... Anyway I can't see the problem, most of these dependencies usually the most common ones what everybody should use, probably there is a few rarely used one, but come on, for such a nice additions I think worth it... :)

Well other option, if you don't want to spend a lot of time to dealing with the LEX or STEX dependency tracking system/attaching deps, you can still upload them onto a cloud drive (drop box, onedrive, google drive) with a list of the deps, and share only the link, and if somebody is interested in, that one wouldn't care about the deps... :)

For example I'm interested in the modified art128 station... ;) :) That could be useful for anyone else.

@ Tyberius06, kelis, Akallan, romualdillo,korver and Nanami :
Thank you for your previous answers, glad you liked it.  :)

Not a real update but a simple winter image ..... a little late.
I always try to find the best solution to host my old photos, and thhat take some time.
On the other hand, making downloadable lots takes too much time for me at the moment; and I believe (to answer Tyberius06) that the best way to appropriate the cities we create is to customize the lots that we download. This is what I do for years and with the experience I started to like and I improved.

@ Themistockles :
it is true that I like to put the religious buildings or landmark on promontories ..... ::). and I think that the Senaatintori church is even more similar with the photo 366 that I had posted some time ago.
For the elevator, it is in fact the prop included in the ped path of the NAM. Although this is the first time I show it here, I tend to use it now systematically when I have stairs in a very urban landscape.

Update 24

This time an update a little different from the previous ones with few photos but also my first personal content posted via a direct link from the bottom of the first post of my MD on the first page. http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=16991.0

I realized 2 years ago already some MMPs of catenaries based on the CityMax prop pack available here on Tout Sim Cities.com https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/1969 and working via the "RUM for RRW" mod of Rivit, available on STEX https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29279-rum-for-rrw/

This pack includes modern style catenaries already transformed into MMPs by Badsim in march 2017, but also various signals and older-inspired catenaries that in my opinion perfectly match the original RRW rail texture. (note : by catenaries, i mean the gantry only)

This little set includes, on the first hand 3 MMPs dat files with the old style gantry catenaries :
-1 to put double track catenaries (DTR)      > zzzz_Citymax Rail Catenary_DTR_MMP_gSt
-1 to put catenaries for single tracks (STR) > zzzz_Citymax Rail Catenary_STR_MMP_gSt
-1 to put various signals.                           > zzzz_Citymax Rail Object_STR_MMP_gSt

All these MMPs are present at the bottom of the flora secion between nbvc mmps and VIP mmps.
They have 7 to 8 chances to appear in the desired position before finishing with a Blank prop.
Some of them are offset to appear in the right place in game (this particulary feature is from the autor, i didn't change the models files in any way). This include MMPs with FAR angle, very useful for the FAR rail section and wides curves.
In addition, their occupancy sized is minimal, which allows to add a lot of vegetation to their feet, or even to put on lots adjacent to railways.

These files have to be put as follows in the Plugins folder :
Where you want in your plugin folder but better in zzzz_Citymax_Rail_MMPs_gSt folder

On the other hand, this set include 3 4 T21 dat files ; that is to say : files automatically putting catenary props at regular intervals on a certain number of sections of railroad tracks (just click with rail cursor on existing rail section or draw new ones), including straight sections, diagonals, some switches and some section of the 15m elevated railway.

These files should be put as follows:
RealRailway_T21.dat have to be in the folder                                       : z___NAM > Y_RealRailways
NAM_Rail_Catenaries and SC4_Rail_Catenaries have to be in the folder : Network Addon Mod > zzzzz_Catenary Mod > rail Cateneray
H__Catenaries RRW.dat have to replace the existing file with the same name in the folder                         :"Z___RVT Modds" - "RVT zRUM for RRW" - "H Catenary"
"H__Faded Catenary" present in updated version (24 october 2017) of the RUM of RRW have to be deleted

All theses files are fully compatible with NAM 35 (the current i use now) but i suppose they are also compatible with the NAM 36 except there will not be catenary on the 7.5m elevated section. BUT, there are totally uncompatible with other T21 rail dat especially the Plundere mod which served me as a model and intend to be partially replaced by this new one. AND, of course, be sure of macking a sav of your current NAM and Rivit T21 files (RealRailway_T21.dat H__Catenaries RRW.dat and H__Faded Catenary)

Here 2 illustrations of what can do this set :

421. T21 files :

422. T21 files + MMPs files (note the orange mark is the place to click to have the catenary correctly placed) :

All indications above have been corrected on 31 march after report errors and replaced the files  :-[, so if anything is still wrong tell me and i'll remove the file or try to correct them again. Moreover if the autor of the models files (CityMax) don't want that these MMPs and T21 be made, PM me

And some MD classic stuff with this little city re-worked recently. You can see some of the recent Sciurius creation like the church and the post office, a few from Aarsgevogelte and a lot of old stone house from Manchou ( Tout Sim Cities.com) and some Girafe new poplars, and of course the MMPs and T21 in game.

One note: why don't you use Paeng's Funicular (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/26607-paengs-shoking-funicular/) instead of Girafe's Cableway?
Title: Re: Gransimtenango
Post by: manga rivotra on March 31, 2018, 07:45:37 AM
I added 2 "zoom 5" mosaics on my previous post.

********Answers*******

@ vinlabsc3k :
I'm glad you like it  :)
the idea with the cable car is that they were installed long after the stairs were created, because this city has slopes too strong for bus use or any other modern public transport. The installation of a funicular seems to me more realistic if it simultaneous with the creation of a district, or if many free grounds allow it later. I have been using the Paeng's funicular in previous updates, photos 123 to 126 and 365, in a different environment. This kind of solution is particularly important in South America (Medellin for example).

@ feyss, Akallan and PaPa-J :
Thanks for the kinds comments !  :)
About the custom road texture (street are Tarsealed street from Rivit), is a WIP of course, because it take huge time to re-texture every nam section road (by editing directly the Nam dat), especially because i don't use any automatic program (you can see tyres marks cross a little bit white lanes in some curves, that it intentional).
In fact, bridges will be my big problem and GLR also, because sidewalk are incorporated in the GLR overlay, and my sidewalk is pretty uncommon. And, obviously, the color of asphalt is a matter of taste on which everyone can express a different opinion.

@Simmer2 :
Thanks to you !  ;D
It's always good that people with different plugin folders test new content.
Do not hesitate to say if there is a problem.

Best I share some Developments here...

I too have been working on a Catenary Mod for the RRW. The one I am working on uses a Template that you can apply textures too so they can be made to most types of poles you find in the real world...

Here are the previews of the RRW using poles and wires based around the Japanese style of poles.

I am working hard to make these a feature for NAM 37.

Hopefully this does not steal some of your thunder but I just wanted to show the fact that I am also making a cat wire mod for the RRW and as the maintainer of the RRW project I do know this is a deal breaker for some of the holdouts of the RRW. I would like Catenaries as well so this is why I am working on this project.

@ Girafe and every one who have download the "zzzz_Citymax_Rail_set_gSt" zip file before the last 20 minutes :
Sorry for the mess !  &mmm
Indeed the T21 part of the mod can not work without a file that I forgot to put in the first compressed folder.
In fact, this "mod" was based on the old T21s of Plunderer for proper positioning of the catenary props, but it only works thanks to Rivit's update of the Plunderer mod for use on the RRW rails via its mod RUM for RRW, available here https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29279-rum-for-rrw/.
The Rivit Mod has been the subject of an important update in October 2017 to work with the NAM 36, but my T21 were created on the basis of the NAM 35 ....
However, if I have clearly understood the Readme, it appears that the file on the catenary T21 "H__CatenariesRRW.dat" has not been modified, BUT it is necessary to delete the file H__Faded Catenary.dat also present in the folder H catenary. As a result, the Rivit mod is the 2nd dependency needed (with the CityMax mod) to run these new T21s ; and the file "H__CatenariesRRW.dat" should be replaced by the new file that I attach to the corrected compressed folder with the same name.

In summary, (for people still interest) you must:

- download again my compressed folder "zzzz_Citymax_Rail_set_gSt" correted today, always on the 1st post of the first page of the MD or at the end of this post.
- leave in your plugins folder or install Rivit mod "RUM for RRW" in order to replace the file "H__Catenaries RRW.dat" by the one of the same name that I provided in my new compressed folder, in the folder:
"Z___RVT Modds" - "RVT zRUM for RRW" - "H Catenary".
-delete the file "H__Faded Catenary.dat" present in the updated version on October 24th, 2017 of  this same folder "H catenary" (this file is not present in the version prior to October 24th, 2017 of this mod).
And normally it should work.....If it not work, then my mod is clearly outdated by the new NAM 36 features and shoud be avoid for the T21 part.
The MMPs work correctly in any case, and are present at the bottom of the flora menu between nbvc mmps and VIP mmps
These "instruction" have been writed also in the post of the update 24, wich still act of a sort of readme for installation

@eggman121 :
I am aware of your catenary project, and believe me that I'll love to use them when they will integrated in the next NAM release. I did not want to interfere with the work of the NAM, but only to propose MMPs and especially a T21 for the props of CityMax which are superb, because I use them for 2 years now and I think they bring a lot to the aesthetics of my MD. In fact I wanted to propose them 1 year ago, and so before the release of NAM 36, but I did not realize at the time how to attach a file to a post.  :-[

@ Simmer2 :
Thank you very much, this is great news !  :bnn:
And thanks to Citymax for its beautifuls models !
I am well aware, however, that the T21 will definitely no longer usable with the future NAM 37, but with the new catenaries of Eggman121, it will be even easier to modify the T21 to add the gantries of his choice and this time on all the pieces.  :)

@ korver :

Thanks for the kind words ! , i really appreciate.  ;D
I think the relative harmony in spite of the very different buildings is due to the sidewalk present on the transit network but also on the lots thanks to the tutorial/mod of MGB which makes it possible to obtain the sidewalk of its choice on all the parts of the NAM through the Rivit GoFSH tool. https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/30033-mgb-maxis-texture-replacement-tutorial-and-dev-kit/ and the adaptation of the SCILT texture overlays mod of Cp to the sidewalk i use.
The systematic use of Girafe trees and cars on all lots surely increases the visual unit even more.

                                                                                Hello everybodies !

Answers :
@ Mattb325 : in fact I stole this idea by seeing an entry from Antigone of Badsim a few years ago....... ;D , and thanks for the "old bathers" building.

So after a long hiatus of 1 year, i' back with only 3 but huge mosaics !  :)

Actually the mosaics are full Zoom 5 view of little tile if you click on it.

The first image is a small town built, as often with me, on hilly terrain, of which no part was shown before. To the south a long and very narrow sea bay, drawing some small beaches not really touristic : maybe mosquitoes in the dry marshes behind  ::), and on the hills, a restricted development with some small buildings and many pavilions following the slopes. However, it'is indeed more big than a village, and have some industries on east side
427.

The following mosaics are taken from a small town, a small part of which was already shown over 2 years ago now. This time, I show it all with subtle redevelopment and especially the context. This city is built on a hill that faces another hill covered with forest. Between the 2 existed a swamp and some agricultural meadows. When Gransimtenango developed, two railway lines had to be passed over the territory of the municipality to serve more populated parts of the city. The rail thus followed the natural slope of the ground and a long tunnel of 350 meters was built under the city, then a station in the marsh area under the pressure of the inhabitants. Several years later, the marsh was converted into a park while maintaining a natural appearance and its function of collecting runoff water.
The industrial zone to the south, for its part experienced a trauma during the creation of an avenue connecting 2 other tiles much more populated (the industrial zone extends in fact on several tiles, in my region) that will literally cross it, resulting in the relocation of a former brick textile factory whose principal buildings can still be seen today.

Yes. It's really fun to enlarge the pictures and scroll west and east south and north - so many nice details if you ask: "where's Eric?" and have a look on the Sims level. The underground parkng with the rounabout .. the steps ...

I don't know, but it should be a challenging thing to switch from catenary to tunnel? I assume - not knowing - this is something railroad would avoid?

I'm really impressed by your custom Roads and Avenues (it would be interesting to know your thinking and how you created them) - in combo with the streets they make the whole scene quite restful and leave the focus on the other items. The color and tonal balance overall is really good - looks very believable as a town in the late afternoon sun.

Very nice work manga rivotra

Love the detail, Especially the Railways. The whole picture has a nice flowing transport network with the buildings and affects around it. Great work all round

On the hint of Catenaries, The upcoming NAM will be hardwired to have a duplicate set of models with a wire overlay so there will be an option for users to have wires above the Railway to satisfy the desires of many players out there.

I will make a stock set of Poles to accompany as well as a Style Guide for users to fit their own poles with the scheme if they want to BAT there own poles.

Just fell into your last update (saving the travelling back in time for another day, as a whole DAY will not be too much and sadly I don't have it right now) --whoa, those huge pictures are a wonderful ride ! I love the small European town vibe (the building choice) ; and the amount of well placed details is delightful. I also love that little triangle of watery semi-wildness between the rails, of course ;-)

So I understand those streets, avenues and such are from your own kitchen or I am wrong ? They look so wonderfully different. I wouldnt mind having them !:-)

@ fantozzi and c.p. :
Thank you for your very nice comments! I really appreciate ! :)

@ Mattb325 :
I could not imagine getting a better compliment!  ;D and you know if the reflection is beautiful it is primarily because the bats that I use (ie yours and those of C.P massively) are actually perfect.  ;)

@ eggman121 :
I have follow this project and wire is one of the things I expect most from future NAMs, so I hope to find a way to still use Citymax's PROPs in combination, which I think are sublime.

@ Rivit and evaburg :
About roads, they are indeed my creation.
In fact, two and a half years ago I tried to change the texture of the simplest straight section of road, and I succeeded, which was a big surprise.
I then took the totally unrealistic idea of changing all the textures of the NAM and Maxis by a greyish asphalt. The color is questionable, probably too clear for many cities and latitudes, but after many of the reskins already done (tens of thousands actually), I can not go back.
On the other hand, my method is not really conventional since strictly nothing in the drawing process is automated. In fact, I copy and paste white ground markings that are used in my NAM configuration (but also add-ons like SAM, Rivit and MGB), which I attach to my asphalt texture that I created. from a mix of (greatly modified) photos of asphalt textures found on the internet. The process is extremely long (and boring), before more than I add traces of rolling ("rollings and non-tires, because these traces are clearer than the color of the asphalt itself, and are meant to illustrate a tread that is often more worn but also less dirty than the rest of the asphalt) handmade piece by piece, especially to illustrate the offset of one side or the other of the curved vehicle road and sometimes even their regular overlap of the white lines. This is especially visible in the crossroads including several lines of circulation (RTL) and the tight curves.
On the other hand, for most files, I did not create a file type "zXXX" supposed to overwrite the file of the corresponding NAM, but I directly edited the files of the NAM present in the folder z___NAM (or Z___RVT) . If I create a kind of reskin mod, I will probably have to work a lot on how to integrate files serenely for all users. Many textures, replace each other according to the order of the files (that's how the z___NAM folder works if i'm correct), and all the remakes seem to me unfeasible.
To date, I have not finished the avenues (including complex angles, crossroads and bridges), nor the NWM or OWR parts or the GLR (which is the most complex with bridges). I do not want to do RHW reskins (too big) or Left hand version.
However, I did most of the classical road (including the majority of bridges), WRC, FAR and intersections with SAM Cobble, and the streets of Rivit. So much for the story (rather long), and of course, I can not promise anything, it's still a work in progress.

Hello Everybodies

@Simmer2,evarburg and rivit : Thanks for your nice comments  ;D.
About the roads, I'm still on it, but I'm progressing very slowly now.  &mmm And above all I have not tested the last NAM which removes the folder where 99% of my textures are located (the "z__NAM" folder), which will undoubtedly require a lot of adaptation work on my part (although this new architecture of the NAM files may ultimately facilitate re-skins).

So, here is Gransimtenango again for a small update of 2 mosaics (now only visible at maximum zoom when opening them in a new tab).
This time, it is an average city on a Medium Tile presented in its entirety along a west-east axis for the first photo; while the second presents a smaller part of the same city in an east-west axis.
This city is made up of 3 separate old towns which have ended up being linked together over the years. Thus each old town has its more or less historic center with its church, a small market and a few typical squares often lined with European buildings (Haarlemmergold, Wallibuk, Aarsgevogelte, building and ALL the content of the former Sim City Polska site with mostly the buildings made by Rav which unfortunately do not seem available in Simtropolis). On the edge of these old towns, there are houses (Cp, Mattb) and more modern buildings (Mattb) as well as 2 industrial zones on flatter parts near the railway tracks (classic mix of buildings Mattb, TAGone, SimGoober, Jasoncw and Simmer2 (main railway station from him also)). Of course, nothing is really flat (as always) and only the southern part (to the left of the 1st mosaic) includes a section flat enough to accommodate a significant development of W2W (mainly Xannepan (JENX)).

In the center of the Tile is the most recent district in the immediate vicinity of the town hall park with its pond and lawns. Here, the transition between this district and the old town to the south.

Hi,

Well well well ...

Like Matt, I'm saving your pictures and  spend regularly a lot a time (as there's so many good ideas to steal ... ::) )  to study them full size.

Regarding these two last mosaics; awe-inspiring level of details and impressive amount of personal work everywhere, as per usual. &apls &apls &apls

Such natural feeling due to the swarm of details and mastered disorder is so hard to achieve; I feel humble here.  :) Furthermore, the tuning (hue/saturation/luminosity) of your pictures is now  one of the finest I've ever seen ( with marczar's pictures, by the past - today everything from him has vanished... another good reason to save what is truly exemplary!) ; no garish roof or tree or anything else come to break and ruin that perfect coherence - narrowly, that said, for CP's larches. :P

K-point for the continuous amazement and inspiration.

@Badsim :Thanks for the k-point and all the nice compliments, it's really flattering!   :)
I must admit that I have also stolen a lot of ideas by watching Antigone carefully, especially since you explain the techniques you use (MMPs, FSH, etc.) which further increases the immense value of your MD, encyclopedic and extremely aesthetic!
About the tuning of the photos, I always use the same mix of desaturation of whites, yellows and greens and the slight accentuation of blue while decreasing the overall contrast, to best match the Gobbias Sunden Valley terrain ground that I am using . However, I've caught myself modifying dozens of building FSHs in recent years to desaturate their colors (thanks to Rivit's GoFsh) and that's become a habit as well.

***

A new mosaic for this new update, a medium tile with this time a lower density and a majority of older buildings. Here, 2 ancient towns are visible, each on its gently sloping plateau, separated by a river which has carved a deep canyon about 800 meters in length. The canyon walls are made thanks to PROPs created by Korver for update 26 "Bohemia" of his legendary MD True Earth, which he generously gave me at the time. As always, lots of houses from Cp, Mattb, JMyers as well as a few from Colyn on the slopes; while older buildings are often from Rav, Haarlemmergold, Wallibuk and newer ones from Mattb. The Town Hall is located at the top right of the town and consists of Mattb's Monticello School in the main building and the Briggsbury diagonal c.p station attached further down in the park. The university at the bottom left is made up of several buildings from Mattb as well as the rare industrial buildings along the highway (partially visible here) with a few from TagOne as well.

So far, the only artifice I've allowed to myself is to give to my pictures a light spotlight effect with PaintShopPro... I like the idea of people seeing exactly what I see in game... so have had to renounce to many appealing BATs but over-satured and/or strangely textured (to add to the list of all those with BATed base textures, LODs making LotEditing impossible, etc). Looking at your stunning work makes me wonder if I'm not just incredibly obtuse (and stupid  $%Grinno$% , « all things considered », needless to say  :P)... well, I may change my code of conduct: tests ongoing. $%#Ninj2

@ Girafe and Mattb325 :
Thank you both for your comments and of course a big thank you for your beautiful trees or buildings without which nothing would be possible.

@ Tyberius :
I am happy to see that you have become one of the best Lots makers, especially with your tram stations.  ;)

art128 :
Thank you for your comment.  :) PROP overhangs are either those made by MGB from the different textures of Maxis ( https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29797-mgb-diagonal-filler-set/ ), or a modified version of the PROP from the BLAM Team which uses the specific colors of my roads with light gray asphalt.
I really like your blue building from your Tokyo Buildings Volume 1 visible in photo 432 (I guess you're talking about this one, near the Maxis soccer stadium). I'm sorry for the tree in the middle, but since I'm playing 95% Growable, I tend to click on the God Mod's forest tool a lot to get the buildings to grow, and in this case I have click a little too long.  ::)

@ Badsim :
QuoteI like the idea of people seeing exactly what I see in game
I like this idea too, which is all the more honest as you offer a lot of custom content in your MD and with VIP Team also. Choosing the right buildings or tree and placing them in the most realistic and harmonious way possible without even editing their color is one of your usual prowess.  ;)
But sometimes a simple modification of the colors can completely modify the perception which one has of a building. I could see this by editing a few buildings from Maxis and removing some cumbersome BATed base textures just by playing with the FSH Alphas.
This is probably why I got hooked on handling FSH for a whole bunch of buildings that wandered in my Plugins folder and begged to be "harmonized" with the rest.  ::)

@ alejogc13 :
This is a Bat made by Korver a few years ago: no photoshoping here (except the overhall desaturation of the pic). Indeed having more cliffs of different sizes and colors would be a great addition.

Hello Everybodies

A new small update of the MD with this time a small Tile seen from 2 different directions (zoom 5 if you open them in a new tab).
It is a very flat Tile which is located just below the Tile of the previous photo.
In fact, the river that passed through a deep gorge previously calms down here and even splits into 2 before joining the main river in Gransimtenango.
This Tile is in fact originally a small rural village which has experienced 2 major upheavals in the last 200 years.
The village was built on the edge of the western meander of the river (left of the 1st photo) around a tiny chapel and a water mill now disused (WolfZe).
The eastern part was occupied by an important wine estate with a chateau and its outbuildings. However, about 170 years ago, following a fire, the castle was completely destroyed and the city of Gransimtenango starting to expand more and more, it was decided to build a military base instead of the estate; the immediate environment was still quite far from the city center.
The military base was remodeled several times during a century, with a small airstrip and a river port even being present in the last years of its existence. But 70 years ago, we had to face the facts: the land occupied by the military base was now too close to the central districts which were gaining more and more ground on the surrounding countryside. Moreover, in addition to its relative flatness, this land had the definite advantage of being geographically located between 2 new commercial districts whose development had been planned for a long time and also opposite one of the most touristic places of Gransimtenango: namely an island inhabited in the middle of the river, very picturesque (pic 372). The military base was therefore moved further, while a new district, the construction of which was planned for about thirty years, took place on these ruins.
Part of the airstrip became a park around which revolves the main facilities of this new town such as the Town Hall, the modern-inspired church, the main school and a more recent museum (all from Mattb).
Later, with the arrival of even more imposing construction at the end of the last century, the old river port was transformed into a luxurious marina (NBVC) and an aquarium (Reddonquixote) was even opened.
The city therefore accentuated its gentrification, which was already well under way, to become one of the most affluent in the metropolis of Gransimtenango and the modern and sometimes ostantatious constructions compete for luxury in particular around the marina, from where the view of the island and the central districts of Granimtenago is the most beautiful.

***
For those who may not have survived this long introduction, here is a summary.  $%Grinno$%
This Tile is above all an old old center to the West (left of the 1st photo) with the buildings of the usual designers and a large block of tall buildings, much more recent to the East near the marina and to the north along the main river of Gransimtenango. (Aaron Graham buildings near the park and town hall (Mattb's triangular orange building), KellyDalle2003, Simmer2, on001222 and Mattb near the river, Reddonquixote and Diego del Llano near the marina and aquarium, plus a few ones from Maxis here and there.
The Tile also includes a small lighthouse with a tiny integrated museum to protect the marina (Simmer2), as well as a university built entirely along the southern banks of the eastern meander with buildings from Mattb in particular, as well as an industrial area in limit of Tile to the south.
I hope that this justifies a little more the presence of country lodge within 300 meters of skyscrapers........ ::)

@ Girafe :
Thank you very much for the compliment!  ;D
I did not change the colors of your flora, the colors are different because I edit the saturation and the brightness on the whole picture.
However I use 2 sets of your feathers and cattails: the original and one that I duplicated with the Reader and rezised it down to get even more variety in my swamps.
In addition, I have created a few MMPs that use the green version of your wheat and the flowerless versions of your daisies and sparaxis, to feature small bushes and tall grass on certain occasions. So feel free to make more flora, it's always a great pleasure to play with !  ;)
The only flora whose colors I have changed are those of Xannepan (only the Willow tree is visible here), as well as Cupressus, pinus, broom and ferns of Orange_o_.
Finally, still with the reader, I duplicated Chrisaadams3997's grass, change its color (accentuating blue to better match the Gobias' Ground Texture Mod i use), lower its height and severely rezise down its width, in order to cover the Ground Texture Mod especially on the banks on kind of meadows.

About the shark, alejogc13 may know more, but I believe that the big fish should not stay too close to the aquarium .....

And thank you about the road : it's an endless work, but I haven't given up yet.

Really nice little city tile. I join to Girafe, the details are amazing and the new custom road/ave surface is pretty nice too. I needed to got used to at first, but by now I start liking even more. The marina scene is beautiful. Those elevators (are those models from the NAM pedmalls or what is their source?) I always getting ideas and learning new stuffs after checking a bit deeper your images. Those modern looking custom lot foundations (I think the player with the bunch of numbers - 112xxxx something - in his account name was experimenting with those and released some custom foundations and also a wall set which was using one of those) as embankment walls are really nice touch. Would you mind sharing those (if it's not available anywhere else)? Pretty amazing what you can achive with these stuffs.

Thanks for sharing these nice images! Keep up the good work!

Hi,

It's going from bad to worse; I spent more than an hour with these two pictures and now I'm back, worn out, lost, and with so much questions that I even don't know where to start.
Forget the questions, whatever the replies, I'm absolutely sure to never achieve something like this and that's why it's so important ( and so good) to know that someone is able to.

Since SAC's Olympia,16 years ago, I felt in love with a few MDs/CJs ( Corsica, True Earth, Krokanien, Rondnoir - to quote only these ones ... ) but never like this. If I had my way (I mean; whithout looking like being hysterical... $%Grinno$%  ) , I would give you a K+ per update.

You said that you learned a lot by reading my MD, well in that case, it clearly appears than the teacher is surpassed... ;D

@Tyberius06 :
About elevators and foundations, you're right: the elevator is a PROP derived from the NAM elevator (created very simply via PIM-X) and the foundations and retaining wall come from the pack of 11241036 (https: // community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31346-various-lot-foundations-and-retaining-walls/ ) which I modified the textures. For exemple, the concrete texture which appears to be in relief was created via images found on the Internet.
About of the "embrankment wall", if you talk about the staggered concrete walls that "border" Mattb's FAR parks raised from the wooden decks near the aquarium, this is Neko's PROP found in one of its packs under the name " Teibou ". They are available in straight, diagonal, and corner versions.
On the other hand, the wooden decks are from Vortext (from History Harbor https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29880-historic-harbor/ ) but were recolored (I wanted dark decks). ::)

@ Badsim :
I really think that I am only a kind of loterpsycho who knew how to use the right tools thanks to the invaluable advice found everywhere on this site and to the fabulous work in particular of the VIP team. If I manage to get a decent result by putting side by side a typical American Midwestern house (for example cp's ones) and a Polish rural building (RaV, Wallibuk, etc), it is above all thanks to the VIP flora.
For me and probably for many of the players who follow Antigone or the Triumphal Way for a while, you are The Undisputed Master. The artists here are numerous (yan077, fasan, korver, Framly; undoubtedly Kelis, Akallan, OI.S / benoit .... and many others), but only 1 who has constantly exceeded his limits and succeeded in the same time to dramatically advance the game: it's you.  ;)
And believe me each of the hundreds of photos you've posted over the past few weeks proves it again. There is nothing more successful than your freight trains or your TGV in their natural environment made of VIP or your UHD Flora: it is grandiose and of a surgical precision. And, obviously all the rural or urban scenes that you did remains an inexhaustible source of inspiration, even years later

Hello Everybodies
Edit 05/01 >Due to loading times, the largest mosaics are now only accessible via external links, but the others remain visible on the page, in miniaturized mode.

Another whole year has passed without my doing any updating.  &mmm So it's time to fix it with these 6 mosaics.  :)
The most assiduous will recognize some places already presented in recent years, but with however many changes.
These 6 photographs present 3 tiles seen from two different directions each time. Each mosaic is composed of views at zoom 5, visible in real size by opening the picture in a new tab.
The general idea is to partially follow a valley and its river whose source is located on the first 2 photographs, on the edge of an altitude lake.
This part of Gransimtenango has the particularity of being built of imposing mountainous piedmont, very popular with hikers. The tourist refuge "Vandamm house" (Mattb325 of course) is the privileged access to the mountains, accessible by a long and difficult track.
The view from this refuge, the highest in Gransimtenango, is one of the most striking and allows you to appreciate the extent of the valley from its wooded heights to its partly flat and more urban loop.
The photographs from the third onwards allow you to observe the plain formed by the valley, which in good weather can be seen from the refuge.
The small pond located on the last 2 photographs, is in fact located just in line with the loop of the river, only 300 meters from the latter present on the 2 previous photographs.
The plugins used here are the same as usual and the work of road reskins now extends to part of the SAM (W.I.P).

Downstream from the large waterfall, the river crosses a tile not shown here. However, the river then makes a wide loop on a flat part, so that the districts presented in the 2 following photographs are in fact contiguous to the industrial zone at the bottom left of the first photograph. 3 of the 9 holes of the golf resort are also on this tile, just across the road.

Sorry for the delay, I viewed this update the day it was posted... better late than never! $%Grinno$%

That's always the same renewed pleasure to stroll through your pictures; the format and the zoom level chosen to show your work is perfect for measuring it in its full extend; it requires long "walks" to spot and study (really the right word) all the details in every nook and cranny ... everything there is admirable and inspiring, and I have a particular crush on your plazas which are the most beautiful and realistic I've seen to date, a fine LotEditing combined with a superb irregular cobblestone texture - also used here and there as sidewalk - (never saw it anywhere else, so I guess this is one of yours? It looks like made of a BaseTexture + Overlays to randomize it?) The work behind the scenes to achieve this is impressive and such tenacity commands admiration. LoterPsycho would be indeed a perfect CML for you, but your skill in building on  slopes with such a natural result and your landscaping taste and skill are also top notch ...  &apls  &apls  &apls

I hope that  you'll update this CJ more often  this year. :P

Hello Everybodies
Edit 05/01 > Due to loading times, the largest mosaic is now only accessible via external link, but the others remain visible on the page, in miniaturized mode.

@ ulisse99 and Badsim :
Thanks you both for you very nice words !  :)
About the textures @ Badsim :
I most often use 2 cobblestone textures.
The first one is blue-gray and has a circular pattern : it's this one
https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/1064 by Sauron, rezised.
The second is above all the sidewalk mod i've choose (white-gray color, with shades from one rectangle to the other staggered a bit like parquet). I've downloaded it 16 years ago but now i can't find the link. I'm pretty sure this texture is from SAP, but the only content I find on simtropolis from him (sap23) don't match and I can't find it on Simcitykurier.com.
This texture is also changed so that the pattern is mirrored perpendicularly on some parts. Overlays are indeed used on parks and squares, but also on lots (grow or plop) in order to extend the sidewalk onto the private space. I use FSH alphas from CP's awesome SCILT mod (on LEX) to randomizes it indeed.
I also use a third one in the central square around the mosque on peaks 440 and 441. It's includes purple rectangles of various sizes and more or less dark.
I believe this one is from the NDEX pack :

***

I hesitated quite a bit before showing this update and in particular pics 441 to 443 because of the relief, specifically the river, which is not the most realistic.  &mmm
Actually, this new update is mosaics of parts of the city already shown years ago via Update 7 Slopy friendly part one (pics 121 to 129), and then subsequently during several updates.
The difference is that the medieval fortified part now has more period buildings thanks to reskins from Xannepan posted a few years ago via a prop pack by Vortext on the LEX.
NAM's SAM 8 is also modified to show a bluish cobblestone texture with circular patterns (already visible in the previous update), taken from a texture found on tousimcities.com a few years ago (resized and modified ). Another gray-yellow cobblestone texture replaces SAM 9 and can be seen especially in the fortified part. It's comes from a texture recently found on the STEX, but greatly modified (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33759-cobble-stoned-base-texture/ by 11241036).
Finally, the SAM 2 is replaced by a texture also recently found on the STEX here : https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31502-base-textures-vol-1-elements-for-sc4/
by SecretMbr_735754, also greatly modified and rezised.
This one appears in some more modern areas, especially on the last pic on the left where houses are predominant.
The GLR is also reskin, but still W.I.P
Custom content is the usual (Mattb-Andis Art- for modern buildings, especially residential, Odd from Swenden- Haarlemmergold- Rav - Wallibuk - JMyers - CP - Mattb and Xannepan (JENX) for older ones).
This city is very hilly and therefore has a medieval fortified part with its castle (Xannepan on LEX), its funicular (from paeng on STEX) and its ramparts (Xannepan on LEX). Gransimtenango is a city built in a volcanic environment, as evidenced by the deep lake which turns out to be an old volcano crater. The Town Hall, which is opposite, is from Mattb. This lake is fed by a source not very far away in the mountains, near a museum acclaimed by the population (Frank Llyod Fallingwater house from Mattb). The river borders the ramparts and delimits a more recent suburb of the city which has become over the centuries the new city center with in particular a superb church facing the lake (Xannepan, on LEX).
The tramway line that runs along the lake allows you to leave the city centre, before crossing the underground railway and highway, to reach the terminus of the line in an old suburb dating from the same period as the city centre. This suburb grew so quickly that it quickly became more populated than the city center to which it is now connected by the industrial zone which replaces former horticultural land of which nothing remains. The highway and the railway were created recently, which explains why they are underground on large parts. Near the tramway loop terminus is the large church (Vnaoned), which like the rest of the suburb, faces a lower lake, which the is visible on pic 444.

442.
After this overview, here is the opposite view from the fortified castle towards the city center through the crater lake. Every square meter is to make the most of it, and the views of the lake and the fortified district are attracting the interest of property developers.

443.
The population of the city is sufficient to accommodate a few university buildings grouped together on a plateau south of the ramparts (here below the ramparts).
Their recent construction took place in the site of an old demolished residence of which only the age-old trees remain, preserved during the construction.(bats from Jasoncw and Mattb on STEX).
One of the city's train stations and a tramway station allow students to reach the area. The inhabitants have also
mobilized so that the trams bypass the old park of the residence so as not to sacrifice the centenarians trees.

444.
Just west of the suburb where the large church of Vnaoned is located (the bottom of pic 441 is just above the top of this pic),the gentle slope continues towards a large lake at the edge of which a small mostly residential town around a small hill with the ancient water tower and an orthodox church (Barroco Hispano on STEX). Here we are getting closer to the countryside and the first fields are not very far, even if a certain densification is beginning to appear. A train station is nevertheless present.

I modified the textures of the church from Xannepan and of the one from Barroco Hispano, so that they look less renovated, in order to blend more in the pics where most of the buildings are very old.
I actually edit a lot of content to make the textures match.

Hopes you'll like it  :)

Hello Everybodies

Some news from Gransimtenango after this long absence. :)
First, I partially redid picture 430 (still located on the previous MD page) in the Maxis University area, which is now replaced by buildings that fit better with the natural slope of the terrain: creations from Mattb325, Orange and Jasoncw, accompanied by a lot of work with the slope.

About this update, once again, mosaics, always visible in real size when opened in a new tab.

The Tiles presented are not new and some parts were already visible years ago on close-up views pics 73-74, 250 to 259, 269-270 and 361 and 364. But, these 2 mosaics allow here to see the whole of these 2 small tiles which are on my map joined (the first to the left of the second), with updated buildings, in particular the 2 town halls (WannGLondon and its Haunted Mansion transformed for the first city and Mattb325 with its Union Club Clinic transformed for the second city).
As always, the landscape is hilly (but only on the first photo), and these small towns of average size have in common to be very green, without looking like villages, and the buildings set are the same as usual.
