It certainly looks like the Forth Rail bridge!. A truly spectacular bridge - I'm sure the model will be as good. :D

vester

Thank you all. Glad you like it.

Still a lot of modelling to be done:

Been working on trusses.

These fancy-looking railway bridges are definitely in great need!  :bnn:

Hi Arne ,

Truss bridge engineering , again ? ::) Really ?  ()what() Such great and unexpected news  :bnn: ... I thought it was lost for good . And Forth Rail Bridge ,  a monster indeed ( I would have named it the 3 Diplodocus Bridge  ;D ) ! Will be an event to drag it in game for the first time .

I don't know how much more work it would be to add, but if you could work check rail details into that bridge, that would be candy on the cake icing!

Otherwise, it looks great, and the train included really helps to visualize the massive scale of this bridge.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

What rail details are you referring to ?

Was planning to make the rails as separate textures, but maybe special for this bridge.
One for general and one transition.

As a bridge engineer I can say only one thing, you came up trumps!

The rails running on the inside of the tracks, like on one of Eggman's other RRW bridges.

Would this one do:

Although I like lighter textures, that is what I'm referring to. Not sure how much work it would be, or if you were already planning to add these. Either way I don't mind. Just wondered if they were on the table or not.

Silur

I can see already that serious people in the game come to the real paintings. More rusty iron and old stone! Then it will look like real life, not as Skylines and other cartoons.

A new angle:

The grey objects is just the outline of elements to be finished.
More elements to be added to the main spans.

Still need to start work on the suspended span (with the curved top members)

Kitsune

Its going to be great to finally have a long distance rail bridge.

It's a shame the game can't display this in full glory.

I realize suddenly that your viaduct is surprisingly similar to the Quebec bridge, I guess that it is one of your references or I get completely wrong ? Still amazing, anyway
