Thank you Lars.

Started work on some more props and a few new color schemes for the passenger trains:

FEC - Florida East Coast

Working a graphics and readmes for four different volumes (split into smaller files = 14 files)

vester

Got the first overview graphics done:

Out the 16 new mods, 8 of them is in this package. Any guess which one it is ?

Well one of them, is more or less given in my post above.

APSMS

Looks like, to me, 2 BN skins, 2 new CN, ACL, EL, GN BSB, and the FEC. That's 8, right?

Or it could have been CSX; I don't feel like I remember that one, though the all blue scheme feels familiar.

I wanted to say Amtrak, but I'm pretty sure you included these in previous mods, no?
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

3 hits so far: ACL, CN3 and FEC.

The Amtrak1, BN1, BN2, CN1, CN2, CSX, EL and GN BSB is old.

These are the new color schemes:

As you can see I updated the CO, Chesapeake & Ohio as well. Trying to get it a bit closer to the real deal.

Wonderful work, I wouldn't even have guessed they'd need an update.  $%Grinno$%  &apls

Simmer2

Can't wait to play with those.

Thank you vester

When I did the Pere Marquette, the photoshop file for the Chesapeake & Ohio was used.
Just noticed that the yellow line was a bit too thick.

Hey Vester, I had an Idea about automata and wanted your thoughts.

The one thing I don't like about railroad automata and especially freight train automata is that you only have one locomotive. I had the thought, maybe if you made a model that was two locomotives and articulated it in the middle so it would bend realistically you could possibly get a multi-engine freight train. Is this possible? I know semi-truck can articulate but I'm not sure if locomotives can.

Since your the train guy I thought i'd ask if you knew.

vester

This is an old idea, that I think a few people have tried to get to work.
Had vil help me with a passageway between the passenger cars on my GLR/EL trains, but not sure if this can be used for your idea.

Got no idea how to do this kind of advance modding myself.

Well, what should I say? Ahh, this: Very nice stuff for US rail fans, so thanks for all the new rail props and automatas.  &apls

Thanks Alan for bring this to my attention.

Just had a look at the installer. The first for Volume A is fine, but for some reason I messed.
Been using Excel to try to cut down the work making up the scripts.

Will lock the file now for Volume D. Will updated the file tomorrow Monday.

The installer for Volume B and C has been updated.

The copy all section did work in the old installer.

vester

The installer for Volume B, C and D has been updated.

Please redownload, if you use the installers to pick out the mods.
The "copy all" section was working.

Got the passenger engines turned into props.
Will have an extra check of the moddings, but pretty sure it should be there.
Next up is the installer scripts. Will split this up the same as the volume 18, into 4 parts.
Have done a lot of the graphics now and a lot will be reused from Volume 18 as well.

Started modding the passenger cars into props as well.
Of the nine cars:

  • I got the first model rotated for 12 angles done. That covers 4 of the nine cars.
If I remember right, I have 4 more models to go.
  • Got the base dat file modded.

From there its just a matter of a lot of tedious work.

Almost done. Only done 561+281 = 842 files for these two proppacks.

Graphics for the readme:

I do love Nicks roundhouse. Nice way of show of the engines.

praiodan

842 files? :o
That's some tremendous effort &apls
