lol i don't remember NYC having that orange bridge pictured up top, however, its great to see the Titanic alive, along with the twins.

Don't know when your going to build the island with the Statue of Liberty, but its a good thing for SC4 that most landmarks exist. Recreating a real city in terms of SimCity is a big project, especially because of the requirement of growing residential. Since NYC also remembers the French with their own Arc De Triumph, I guess you could always build that in a park somewhere too. Personally, the most challenging thing about real cities in SimCity terms are how building the roads are usually kind of tricky. Without NAM components like longer radius curves and Network Widening Mod, I don't know if what you proved possible could be done without it, you worked pretty hard to prove your point. 

If you want a harder challenge, I say that is recreating New York's subway line under the ground. Although, I don't usually see subways pictured in mayor diaries, because their under ground.

The last picture of that night light shot, has so much realism, others who see it that don't play SimCity 4 will deny that picture was taken in it. I think my favorite shot is the use of MAVE-6 and building a giant avenue.

The city seems so lifeless. :thumbsdown: Very bad!
But otherwise it is considered real impulse response in terms of the harbor! &apls = Like it

Wow, the harbor is huge. Must have taken long to build it. I think the ships are too close together and there are too many of the blue cranes. Otherwise I like it.  :)

Mountain View, CA -> my best city ever - part 1

We arrived by train at station Mountain View, in the heart of the Silicon Valley region specializing in computers and electronics.

IAM, guessing you still live in France, I am curious about your interest in American cityscape. The pictures with the cul-de-sacs especially with the angled houses, does resemble a regular American suburb, quite perfectly, whether Mountain View exists is beyond me.

Community names like La Salle or Marseilles should of been evident enough, but there are those living under that named community, who would not always know, to them its just another last name. You see someone's last name, you usually don't ask about their ancestors, if they do not stand out. At that time though, not only did you have others from Europe coming to North America looking for territory, their were also the natives (Indians), not to mention more wild animal, more bears, more wolves, but mostly, a lot more mountain lions (cougars) running all over the place from what is now Canada to existing South America. I only mentioned those, because California only just made the mountain lions in their state extinct, a couple of years ago. I understand that part of America's development involved making a lot of Mountain Lion extinct. The last time a cougar crossed into the state of Illinois, they got shot to death in the city streets, but that did not seem to happen to a coyote who hid from the city street crowds in the freezer of a local restaurant franchise. This is where it gets sad, animals can not exactly cool down during 100 degree Summer time weather in open field native land, that they have to suck it up and run so far into crowded human cities.

IAM, don't know if your into Wine tasting, but I guess now I can credit you for building Californian vineyards, the next time France and America compete about the wine tasting thing, or whatever rivalry that is.

The Big Dig is the nickname of Central Artery / Tunnel Project, an underground highway project in New York, USA built by NYGTC (New York Global Transportation Company) between 2001 and 2007.

His goal was to lighten the surface circulation in the heart of New York itself. Following delays, stops, cost overruns, leaks, it is the most expensive highway construction project Simlandais. Initially estimated at $ 3.5 billion in 2001 Simleon, it cost $ 14.6 billion in July 2007.

This project consists of elevated highway in the suburbs, many highway bridges and tunnels that cross the Hudson River and East River, the hardest to achieve were However motorway tunnels crossing Manhattan in length and width.
A suspension bridge crossing a plant of 2965 m was built at the mouth of the Hudson river, making it the longest suspension bridge in the world.

Great airport, IAM. I love the variety and the terminals, airport road layout, and different types of planes.
Though you have made a common mistake.
EVERY GATE IS OCCUPIED AND THE GATES ARE WAY TO CLOSE TO THE TAXIWAY.
Generally, you want to have about 2 empty gates for every five planes, and the back of the plane should be AT LEST 3 TILES FROM THE TAXIWAY. In a few of those shots, passing planes would clip their wings on gated planes.

I would recommend downloading GIMP for "photo-shopping" work, it's a free and open source program that's relatively easy to learn to use and features powerful tools. I had almost no experience with that type of software when I started my MD and have been very happy with my results since then.

If you've ever driven in NYC, you know that much of the parkway system is behind modern road engineering standards, including short ramps, minimal shoulders, and sharp turns. So in fact, the picture you mentioned is quite accurate.  ;)

Great update. I have never seen the Statue of Liberty so well presented in the game.  &apls The olympic park is imressive. A bit empty, but I guess this is what an olympic park is like, when there are currently no olympic games ;)

Not a fan of the Olympic park ( not enough parking area for the big stadiums. And they're not really easy to access.) But overall I like it. Good work on both island. Though, Ellis Island could gave a bit more work on the recreational.
