The SimPeg site address and website no longer exists ... I knew it came to an end in the last week of July, I was just hoping he might change his mind before the final switch was thrown    ()sad()

I've added a RIP SimPeg event over at CB   &cry2

Do you think Pegasus would mind if I reserved that URL for posterity?

Maybe just leave a redirect site to let users know where to find the new stuff? I think I could manage something like that with my limited web skills.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

That would be nice

But there is grace period to allow a website owner to reclaim their dominion name if they change their mind depending on the domain name registrar this can be as short as a couple of weeks or as long as a year and even after that if the website owner is willing to pay a redemption fee along with the domain name's renewal fee they can get their website address back again for a short period after that time.

Ah, I see.

I just tried to check availability, and Pegasus is still the registered domain owner. Address 520 Simpeg Blvd, Fullerton CA (haha, nice one).

At any rate I will probably check back in a few months and see if it's still under reserve. I suppose a PM to Pegasus wouldn't hurt either.

Well there is another option which I hesitate to mention, but Pegasus could be planning on selling the website address there are quite a few companies around that use simpeg as a name including this one

http://www.simpeg.xyz/

which stands for "Simulation and Parameter Estimation in Geophysics"

If you are still interested re the simpeg address, this is the process hostgator follows

http://support.hostgator.com/articles/hosting-guide/lets-get-started/domain-names-buy-sell-manage/what-can-i-do-about-redemption

We set up a SimPeg group over at CB for anyone who needed it, but as expected its not being used

http://www.city-builders.info/cb-groups/item/45-simpeg-shelter

If our site software ever allows it then we will merge the contents into the CB Inn
