Interesting and great work here!

Anyway I love how you put everything in the history of the state as well as the statistic of it. Pretty realistic I have to say. As for the SC4 pictures, I can't find any image that I dont like  . I really like specifically the MMP as well as lotting work on this entry. It must took a lot of patience to done it.  &apls &apls

btw a little bit trivial, did you know that real Brebes last year is known with its deadly "Brexit" incident. It also infamous for the salted egg food  ;D

This is one of my favorite updates yet, some truly beautiful and stunning scenes here! The farmland, the chaotic city, the oceanside.. love all of it. Great use of that amazing Maloskero set too

Your mastery of the MMPs reaches perfection in each of the mosaics and more importantly you know how to make simple countryside really sublime!  &apls &apls &apls
A true delight to watch again and again.

The airstrip, the colonial house, the lighthouse, the atol - all great stuff, with an excellent narrative to boot.

Missed your last updates. That archipelago is soooo coooool. And that airport -- hate to compliment an airport because reasons -- is perfect.  &apls &apls &apls

How many hours do you spend mmping an entire archipelago?

Hello everyone,

It has been a long time since I came on the forums, tonight I come back with a new video... A video a bit special, it's the first time I spend so much time to achieve one. It took me more or less two weeks, during all my evenings to lay this video, there are more than eight hours of films that had to be sorted and compressed. But the biggest particularity of this video is that it appeals to 21 other people than me, without whom, I could never make this video as we know it today!

I want to thank everyone who took some of their time to make the video!

Good viewing! :)

kbieniu7 : Salut kbieniu! :)

Thank you very much for your comment, it makes me very happy! This video occupied me a lot of time and I thought that my girlfriend would end up hating me by talking to her! XD

More seriously, I am happy that this video is published, I learned a lot by making this video and I improved myself a lot. I had to find solutions to make this video, because it was complicated at the beginning, was not at the base a director, I had to make the video twice ...

For the anecdote: I had the first time do the video until the time of the rebirth about (4:08 minutes), I had already prepared a montage to have a preview of the result of the work that I had done so far. Unfortunately, I did a clumsy manipulation and that led to the deletion of video files ... It was about 4-5 hours of videos! I had to start all over again and start the video again at the beginning.

Filming the second video took me a total of 8 hours of videos, which are after sorted (removing unwanted parts) and compressed video time. What took me the longest was the lotting, there are about 130 lots in total including 30 lots for road / street textures. I spent a lot of my nights listening to several music to select the one that corresponds most to my video (it took long enough music, it's complicated to find something that looks like video).

The last part that took a little time (it's also my fault) is the request to share images to all the players ... I made the request to 28 players and 21 players answered me (all positive). It was necessary to select the images, to resize them for the most part and to credit them.

But finally, this work was long to prepare and realize it, but I am happy to present it to you. It seems to me that for the first time in a video of SC4, several players are included in it, and this is really important for me, it's symbolic: the SC4 community, together, under the same banner!
Badsim : Salut Cédric!

The wait was shorter because I had more time than expected to work on it! ;)
Thank you for sharing the photos, I'm really glad you participated in my project! Thanks also for the k-point! ;D
Themistokles : Thank you very much Themistokles! I am honored just as much than you to have worked with an image of your CJ! ;D
feyss : Thank you very much feyss, it makes me very happy!
_Michael : Thank you very much Michael! :)
belfastsocrates : Thank you very much! :)
Simmer2 : Thank you!
Tyberius06 : Age of Empire ... It is also my childhood, and now that you say it, it is true that there is a small resemblance! Thank you for your comment! ;D
Terring7 : Thank you! :)
noahclem : Thank you noahclem! :)
eggman121 : Yes, it takes time but it's also a lot of fun! :)

I remember AoE 2, I made beautiful cities well fortified and the invaders could never take me the city. I would have to see to buy it again, I lost the old CD! : / At the moment, I'm playing Anno and Civilization.

Thank you for your comment! ;)
mattb325 : Thank you very much! :)
Nanami : Thank you very much for your kind words, it makes me happy! :) As for the videos, I seem to be the only one to have done something like that. I know that some CJ authors have already collaborated together on the same region.

Salut Akallan!

Well, when I saw that you had posted an udpate with a video (and even a little earlier when you had wrote me a message), I was really curious what you prepare for us this time. Having in my mind your previous video about deforestation, I had high hopes this time.

And I'm not dissapointed! Pas du tout!

At the beginning of the video, when the music started and first picture came up - I started to feel like being in a cinema, watching a long-waited-for movie in its premiere opening. After a while we have been taken back in time to see a small settlement growing and developing step by step - converting into a small village - then into a bigger one with stone structures - then to a small town that keept growing and growing till it reaches industralisation up to today time. I'm amazed how much time and effort you spent to :

a) prepare all lots, props, plugins as well as places and terrain
b) prepare the scenario: what to show at which time - that tourned out to be a fabolous story with all the details! I really looked with amazement how you were cutting down trees, expanding farm fields, destroying old developement, creating new structures, reconstructing existing one etc. I smiled when I saw a rail line being build and then its elecrification as well as turning old gravel roads into paved ones!

What is more - and what is very interesting in your movies - you tried to "sneak" a message for the audience - about the real world, in fact...

And, well, very nice move to present some photos of other players. With those music and the history that we had just watched a while before, it really made a feeling that those were shots from places around the globe - around a fictional (but anyway) world. And I feel honoured to be listed rigth at the beginning ;)

What is more the quality of the video - the music, text, image sequence etc. is really high! In my opininon you're the best video creator from the entire community of simcity players. But even when talking about your "in-game effects" - I watched you from the beginning at ToutSimCities and here at sc4devotion. You made a giant leap in your skills that is unbelievable to achieve it in such a short time (it's been a year at least since you show us such craftsmanlike scenes)! It must have taken a lot of time for you to prepare it and I believe that you would like to have some rest ;) But you should try also another time in the future - you're really good at it!

So, to sum up - incroyable! :)

(I'll try to write a French answer at TSC as well as soon as possible ;) )

Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Badsim

Salut à toi , l'attente fut plus courte qu'attendue ... :)

Thanks for quoting the author and origin of the pictures used on the second part of your video , but really they're nothing in comparison with your incredible work to simulate evolution/expansion of the civilazion , absolutely brilliant and captivating ...  &apls &apls &apls ... not to speak that I would never have the patience to release something like this : it deserves a  , that's done .

Cédric.

Wooooow... I have no better way to explain.

This video is a work of art. It is beautiful and moving :crytissue: , and like kbienu7 said, has a message more than needed in our world.

You have my respects, and I'm honoured to be part of such an incredible piece of art.

Incroyable, phénoménal, fantastique... les adjectifs manquent pour qualifier une telle prouesse  ;)

When you asked to use one of my pictures, I didn't expect you to come with this masterpiece. I'm really thankful that you thought about me and other MD creators, but to be honest, your work is simply sufficient unto itself.

You were already excelling at creating such scenes, but here you brought it to another level by making it elvove through time. I don't know how much time you had spent on it, but it must be a lot since you had everything planned.

I would have asked an admin for a k-point but I just saw Badsim already gave you one :D

Thanks a lot for this work!

_Michael

As I said over on ST, this really is wonderful. Each stage of the evolution looks wonderful and your use of different MMPS and the way you combine them is truly inspiring!
I won't elaborate too much - those above me have all said words which I agree with - but this is definitely deserving of a K-Point.
Superb!

belfastsocrates

That video is absolutely fantastic and it was very compelling to watch the evolution of the settlement. Superb work

I'm speechless... It's wonderful.

It's really amazing!

I must say Akallan this video really shows how versatile SC4 really is

Great work on the video! It must have taken a long time to compose  &apls

I really enjoyed the buildup of scenery and the buildup of the town.

It really reminds me of how I use to play Age of Empires II. I would always lose the battle but my focus was always the layout of the township.

The video shown really brings back those memories :)

Excellent video...exceptionally well done  &apls

So this is one of the largest collaboration work ever in SC4 community? I have to say this is one of the best sc4 stuff available out there... I can already see how epic it is where you basically start the town from zero (lets say medieval era) and then the city evolved alongside the age, modern road invented, railroad opened, then the stop turned into proper station later on...

I cant really say a long word about this awesome work! It really worth it to work that much time for this single video as it really great!

I'm second to give this post a k-point as it really deserve it!
