Sidings are common wherever a railway track can be found. They serve as "parking lot" for trains, and for assembling and disassembling of trains. Also, defective cars can be stored here. Usually, you can find sidings near railyard,s and next to larger freight and passenger stations.
This set contains 19 different lots with sizes ranging from 3x1 to 9x1, which can be used together in any combination. They are "network enabled", this means that you can connect them to your railway tracks visually, but you need additional drive-through tracks, since the lots are not "transit enabled". The icons will show you the layout of the tracks, the lot size, and which engines and cars are placed on them.
